BON JOVI JOINS LIVE 8 - AND ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM !!

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULED JULY 2nd AT PHILADELPHIA'S MUSEUM OF ART, FOR AMERICAN LEG OF SIR BOB GELDOF'S WORLDWIDE CONCERT EVENT

"Have A Nice Day" to world premiere at radio on July 18th, first single from new album

(June 14, 2005 - New York, NY) 100,000,000 Bon Jovi fans ... will be only a fraction of the worldwide audience who will see the Island recording group, when they appear at the Museum Of Art in Philadelphia on July 2nd as part of the American lineup of "Live 8: The Long Walk To Justice." The once-in-a-lifetime all-star event, organized by Sir Bob Geldof on the 20th anniversary of the "Live Aid" concerts, will present concerts in London, Berlin, Paris, Rome, and Philadelphia on the eve of the international G8 Summit in Edinburgh, Scotland. Further information is available at [link].

"We're excited to be part of such a great lineup of artists for these shows," said Jon Bon Jovi. "And we're honored to help fulfill Bob's vision. The impact he made in Africa twenty years ago is still the benchmark by which all charitable music events are measured."

The Live 8 news comes simultaneously with Bon Jovi's announcement of the completion of their 14th release, still untitled as of this writing, set to arrive in stores in the U.S. and Canada on September 20th.

The album's first single release, "Have A Nice Day," will enjoy its world premiere at radio on July 18th. The track was produced by John Shanks, Jon Bon Jovi, and Richie Sambora; Shanks was voted Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) at this year's 2004 Grammy Awards.

The complete song listing for the album is as follows: "Have A Nice Day," "I Wanna Be Loved," "Welcome To Wherever You Are," "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" "Last Man Standing," "Bells Of Freedom," "Wildflowers," "Last Cigarette," "I Am," "Complicated," "Novocaine," and "Story Of My Life." Further details on the album will be announced in the weeks and months ahead.

The new album is the long-awaited follow-up to This Left Feels Right, Bon Jovi's last studio album, released November 2003. The most recent release is 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong, the deluxe 5-disc box set (4 CDs plus bonus DVD), released November 2004.

100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong...:

UNIQUE FOUR-CD/ONE-DVD BOX SET FEATURES 38 NEVER BEFORE RELEASED RECORDINGS PLUS 12 RARITIES

100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong... (Island Def Jam/UMe), released November 16, 2004, is a “thinking outside the box” box set from one of the most popular and successful bands in rock. Another landmark in Bon Jovi’s history of pioneering events, the mammoth four-CD, 50-song collection (plus a DVD) is not a greatest hits collection but instead is comprised largely of previously unreleased recordings from the band’s vast archive--in other words, the band’s “greatest hits you never heard.” Along with the 38 tracks that make their debuts are a dozen rarities from around the world. The earliest songs hail from 1985, the latest from 2003. Yet each CD was sequenced by the band as a complete album experience rather than chronologically.

Also included is a bonus DVD featuring exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. In addition, the hardbound collector’s box set package boasts a 64-page booklet with rare photos, fan testimonials, exclusive interviews, and personal content from the band.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong... is the group’s first box set and, in typical Bon Jovi fashion, breaks new ground. Whereas most such packages recycle a greatest hits album and add a few previously unreleased bonuses, this collection offers fans the chance to discover their own never before released favorites by presenting dozens of songs that, for whatever reason, never made an album. Typically, this prolific band records upwards of 30 songs for an album; matters of time, style and personal preference often result in difficult choices. In fact, Jon Bon Jovi jokes that he would make a poor A&R exec because he wanted to leave what turned out to be a monster hit, “Livin’ On A Prayer,” off the landmark album Slippery When Wet.

Also noteworthy is that with 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong... Bon Jovi launches American XS Platinum, a premium paid level of membership in the American XS program that provides exclusive content and benefits. Bon Jovi initiated the original American XS program with the release of 2002’s Bounce. Each copy of that CD included a sticker with a unique pin code and by logging onto [link], purchasers could sign up for American XS and receive exclusive access to footage (video and audio) as well as access to passwords for pre-sales on concert tickets.

Bon Jovi’s history of initiating such new ideas has included Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora’s seminal bare-bones, acoustic performance on the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards, which became the inspiration for the “Unplugged” series. Bon Jovi also became the first artist to close New York’s W. 53rd Street for a performance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and the first to perform on the rooftop of that show’s Ed Sullivan Theatre. In 2001, the band drew more than half a million people to Times Square to see their performance at the inaugural NFL Kickoff event and then helicoptered to Giants Stadium to become the first artist to perform at a Giants halftime show. A 2002 London concert was broadcast live into movie theatres across the U.K. and Europe and Webcast live to more 1,000,000 viewers in 60-plus countries.

Bon Jovi also spearheaded the Moscow Music Peace Festival in that city’s Olympic Stadium--the first rock music fest of its kind in the former U.S.S.R.--and the band’s New Jersey album was the first western rock album officially released by Melodiya, the government label in the then-Soviet Union.

With the release of 2002’s Bounce, Bon Jovi again made headlines when they partnered with MTV Worldwide for a “Bounce to Australia” contest where every single MTV partner across the globe sent contest winners to see Bon Jovi’s show in Australia.

A rarity for a hard rockin’ band that emerged in the ‘80s, today Bon Jovi’s dignity remains intact, its songs have stood the test of time and its fans still want more. As the title says, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong...

BON JOVI PROUDLY UNVEILS 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG

:thumb11972275: of the much-anticipated BON JOVI collection of the greatest hits you've never heard!

Here's some things about the photoshoot you might find interesting!
1) The photoshoot took place August 19th in Los Angeles
2) The photosession was at the same studios where many of the photos for CRUSH were done
3) The photographer is Sheryl Nields
4) The title and the cover art are a tip of the hat to Elvis Presley's legendary album...
5) The band's four gold leather suits were custom made for the shoot - while the pants are all the same, as are the boots, the jackets are all different for each band member (Jon's is a shirt, Richie's is a blazer, David's is a 3/4 coat and Tico's is a denim-jacket cut.)
6) Some hints about songs included in the collection? Check out these titles: SYMPATHY, MISS FOURTH OF JULY, LONELY AT THE TOP

Continue to keep your eyes and ears open and keep visiting bonjovi.com for more BON JOVI info as we get closer to the November 15/16 release dates!

BOX SET TESTIMONIALS

Thank you, thank you, thank you - to all the Bon Jovi fans, of all ages, from all parts of the globe
- thousands upon thousands of testmionials and messages about your relationship with the music of Bon Jovi came in to tellus@bonjovi.com.
WOW that was a lot of emails to read!
At this point, the booklet is being moved into it's final production phase and those testimonials that will be incorporated have already been highlighted.
So please, no need to send any more.
Because folks are curious, we can tell you this:
1) as of this moment, there is no definitive plan to contact those fans whose submissions may be included in the booklet.
2) None of the submissions have been deleted; they may turn up somewhere else so know that your words and your time and the feelings you put into them were not in vain, even if your submission is not included in the booklet.
The submissions were such an incredible representation of this band's fan base - we think you're really going to love the final product once you get it in your hands. The band is really excited about this project - we hope you are too
